Scaledmail:
The Ultimate Review (2026)

Cold outreach breaks when infrastructure breaks. A campaign can have strong targeting, clean copy, and good sequencing, but if the mailboxes are weak, the result is still spam placement, account churn, and stalled pipeline. The problem becomes more expensive at scale because every burned mailbox can mean lost warmup time, new DNS work, reconnecting sequencers, and replacing domains.

This comparison looks at Scaledmail and Maildoso as infrastructure providers for teams that need outbound-ready mailboxes. The focus is practical: pricing, mailbox types, IP approach, recovery options, support, refund visibility, public reviews, and what each provider is best suited for.
Key Takeaways

  • Scaledmail provides GW, MS 365, and SMTP accounts (both new ones and prewarmed) starting from $0.93.
  • Maildoso provides SMTP mailboxes for $0.49 per mailbox. It includes self-healing mailboxes and IP rotation, which is better than dedicated IPs.

ScaledMail is a cold email infrastructure service created by Beanstalk Consulting. They position themselves as a "white-glove" solution, offering fully managed Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook, and SMTP mailboxes. According to their official website (scaledmail.com), the team currently manages over 200,000 mailboxes and serves more than 2,000 agencies and B2B brands.

Their primary focus is on removing the technical burden of setup, offering dedicated Slack support from day one, and providing pre-warmed mailboxes that are ready to send.

Rating & Reviews

Trustpilot: 4.6/5 (17 reviews)

Reddit communities (r/coldemail, r/SaaS) respect ScaledMail's Google mailboxes. Users call it a "good and reputable" tool. Some users find it "over-killed" for simple setups and note cheaper SMTP alternatives exist. Here are some representative posts:

Alternatives to ScaledMail: "I think ScaledMail is a good tool, just over-killed for what we do. Our stack is fairly simple: Hubspot > Apollo > ScaledMail, sometime ZeroBounce in the mix. We want to replace ScaledMail with a simpler and less expensive service."

Scaledmail Vs Hypertide: "Scaledmail is great for google mailboxes. There are more cost effective alternatives for smtp like winnr.app though."

Scaledmail Pros

🟢 White-glove setup: Their team handles domains, DNS, and mailboxes.
🟢 Dedicated support: You get a dedicated Slack channel with cold email experts.
🟢 Multiple mailbox types: They offer Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook, and SMTP.

Scaledmail Cons

🔴 Higher pricing: At $0.93 to $3.75 per mailbox (and $50/domain for Outlook), scaling costs a lot.
🔴 Slow setup time: Manual setup takes 2-4 business days.
🔴 Limited automation: No self-healing mailboxes, IP rotation, or API access.

Maildoso Review

Maildoso dashboard with details and explanation
Maildoso dashboard (mobile)
Maildoso is a cold outreach infrastructure provider – we offer domains, SMTP mailboxes, and Google Workspace accounts. The company was founded in August 2023 in Granite Bay, California, by Nikita Bykadarov (Nikita Maildoso).

While other providers offer shared or dedicated IPs, we have developed IP rotation. This means your emails are sent from hundreds of different IPs (making it harder for spam filters to detect a sending pattern), and whenever any IP gets blacklisted, we automatically swap it out for a clean one.

We have also implemented self-healing mailbox technology, which both restores burned-out mailboxes and protects your active email accounts.

The result? As of May 2026, the spam rate across our entire network of mailboxes is around 5%.

Rating & Reviews

G2: 4.7/5 (181 reviews)

"Tried it mainly because of the good price, but ended up sticking with it since deliverability’s been pretty stable so far" – Thinking about trying "Maildoso". Has anyone here used it? Is it actually better than other tools?

"I tested a small batch first and results were comparable to our Google setup. Ended up moving more campaigns there because of the lower cost. That's a good strategy, buy small package and compare with your current setup" – I want to try Maildoso. What do you guys think about it?

Maildoso Pros

🟢 Dynamic IP Rotation: We rotate your IP addresses in real-time – if an IP gets flagged or blacklisted, we instantly swap it for a clean one before your campaign takes a hit.
🟢 Self-Healing Rotation: An automated resting period for mailboxes every two weeks that clears provider flags and recovers reputation on autopilot.
🟢 API & MCP Automation: Create domains and mailboxes, export to your sequencer in one call – or manage it all from your AI assistant through our MCP server.

Maildoso Cons

🔴 Conservative Limits: We suggest sticking to 15 emails a day per box to keep your domains healthy for the long run.
🔴 Google/SMTP Focus: We do not support Microsoft 365/Outlook/Azure environments at this time.
🔴 Lack of built-in warmup. We do not have an integrated warm-up yet, but we are currently working on it.

The True Cost of Bad Deliverability

It’s tempting to choose a provider based solely on the lowest price, but budget infrastructure often leads to hidden costs. When deliverability drops, the consequences usually show up in three areas:

  • Burned Leads: High-quality B2B data is expensive. If emails land in spam, those contacts never see the pitch, and the budget spent on data is lost.
  • Damaged Domains: Fixing a domain flagged by spam filters can be a massive headache. Often, it’s easier to just buy a new one and start the warm-up process all over again.
  • Missed Revenue: Every missed inbox is a missed meeting. In B2B sales, losing even one connection can mean missing out on thousands in closed revenue.

Cold email infrastructure is better viewed as an investment. Maildoso provides the technical tools to protect domain reputation and help keep emails in the primary inbox.

Final Thoughts

We have carefully reviewed Scaledmail, and overall, we can recommend it for use.

It is great that Scaledmail offers different mailbox types – Google Workspace, Outlook, and SMTP. This allows you to diversify your infrastructure, test different approaches, and significantly reduces the risk of all your mailboxes burning out on the same day.

Regarding pre-warmed mailboxes – we recommend using them only if you are on a tight deadline and need to launch your campaigns today. In all other cases, it is better to purchase your domains and mailboxes in advance and warm them up yourself for 2-3 weeks or longer. This way, you save your budget and maintain full control over the warmup process.

A major downside that we noticed (both on their website and when we purchased mailboxes from Scaledmail ourselves) is that order delivery takes 2–4 business days, and sometimes even longer. In our experience, this is the slowest delivery time among all providers.

At the same time, there are two points that remain unclear:
  • It is ambiguous whether domains are included in the package prices. The website claims that 'Domain registration or connection' is 'Included in Every Package,' yet it also states, 'You can purchase domains through ScaledMail.'
  • The pricing for pre-warmed mailboxes is not listed, nor is it specified which type they belong to (SMTP, Google Workspace, or Microsoft 365).

FAQ

  • Q:
What happens if a mailbox gets blacklisted on each platform?
    A:
With Scaledmail, you must monitor and replace blacklisted mailboxes yourself. Maildoso.ai automatically pauses blacklisted mailboxes for 14 days, then recovers them. This self-healing feature reduces manual work and keeps your email outreach running smoothly. It helps maintain deliverability and a healthy sending infrastructure without constant oversight.
  • Q:
Do both platforms handle DNS setup automatically?
    A:
Yes. Both handle SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. ScaledMail does this manually (2-4 days). Maildoso automates it (under 15 minutes).
  • Q:
Can I use my own domains with these services?
    A:
Yes. Both allow you to bring your own domains (BYOD) for free, or buy them directly on the platform.
  • Q:
Which platform is better for API integrations?
    A:
Maildoso.ai offers full API access. You automate mailbox creation and connect custom tools. ScaledMail lacks public API access.
  • Q:
How does Maildoso's IP rotation work?
    A:
For SMTP mailboxes, Maildoso rotates IPs. Campaigns send from different IP addresses, hiding sending patterns from spam filters and protecting deliverability.
Most cold emails fail simply because they land in spam. People never even see your offer. Our SMTP and Google Workspace mailboxes are built specifically for outbound; this means your emails will finally be seen, and you’ll start getting more positive replies.
